NHS EXTENDED HOURS
Making an Appointment
We rolling out a new way of working to enable our Doctors to provide a service to as many patients as we can on a daily basis.
To facilitate this our Reception Team will book you in for a telephone call with a GP who will then deal with your problem and decide the most appropriate course of action.
If the GP feels that you need a face-to-face appointment they will book this during the telephone call for you to be seen the same day.
All surgeries are by appointment.
Before you can start booking GP appointments online you must first register your details for this service. It is quick and easy to register. You will need to come into the surgery to complete our application form and then you will be given the relevant details to enable you to set up an account and use the system - see our user guide for further information Please bring some identification with you- driving licence/passport etc.
Once registered you will be able to view any appointments you have already made, cancel them if necessary, or book a new appointment with the doctor. When you book an appointment online you will receive confirmation which you can print off and bring with you when you attend the surgery. There is no need to reconfirm. Click on the picture below to book your appointment online.
Please note that not all procedures are performed by a doctor , for example smear tests are performed by our practice nurse.
If you are unsure whether you need a GP or nurse appointment please ring and speak to our reception team.
If you are too ill to attend the surgery and need a home visit please try and telephone BEFORE 10.30am. You will receive a telephone call from the Doctor for an initial assessment prior to any visit.
All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they feel one is required. The chaperone may be a family member or friend. On occasions you may prefer a formal chaperone to be present, i.e. a trained member of staff.
Wherever possible we would ask you to make this request at the time of booking so that arrangements can be made and your appointment is not delayed in any way. Where this is not possible we will endeavour to provide a formal chaperone at the time of request. However, occasionally it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment. Your healthcare professional may also require a chaperone to be present for certain consultations in accordance with our chaperone policy.
